Personal data contained in cookies may be at risk from an Internet
Explorer vulnerability
Microsoft has warned that versions of
Internet Explorer can expose consumers' personal data contained within
cookies.
The vulnerability exists within IE 5.5 and
6.0, but earlier browser editions "may or may not be
affected," according to a security bulletin posted to Microsoft's
Web site on Thursday.
The security flaw allows an outsider to break
into cookies -- tiny electronic files used by Web sites
to file account information or personalize pages -- through a specially
crafted Web page or email. A person could then steal or alter data from
Web accounts, including credit card numbers,
usernames and passwords. For the full news story

New security vulnerabilities are being discovered
almost everyday in Microsoft products. Evidence Eliminator can help make
sure the information isn't even available in the first place. Don't
become a victim of Internet identity theft!
One of the most common ways for a malicious website
operator to get you to visit their site is to lure people with an offer
of free adult pics and movies. Just going to the website using an
unprotected computer for a few minutes is enough to seek out all the
personal details including credit card numbers from any previous online
purchasers.
They don't need you to enter your personal or credit
card details. They can source this from all the records already being
kept on your PC such as Cookies.
